Basingstoke’s MP, Maria Miller met with Penny Alford, Chief Education Officer at Bourne Education Trust, staff and students when she visited Everest Community Academy.
Maria said, “It was great to receive an update on how the school continues to progress from staff at Everest, including the £1,000,000 investment to improve the layout of the school site currently underway. I was also pleased to be able to congratulate the school following their successful Ofsted visit earlier this year.
“I enjoyed meeting with students and answering their questions about what life as an MP is like, and to hear about their ideas for making Basingstoke an even better place to live. I want every school in Basingstoke to be 'Good' or 'Outstanding' to make sure every child has the opportunity of a high-quality education.”
