Basingstoke’s MP, Maria Miller met with Manor Field Junior School’s year three students to hear about their recent work on why green spaces are special and need protecting.
Maria said, “I was delighted to meet with Manor Field Junior students to hear about their passion for protecting green spaces in Basingstoke and to answer their questions on why access to green spaces is so important for people and wildlife.
“Basingstoke has so much beautiful green space and with the new Manydown countryside park, we will soon have even more. When designing these new spaces, it is paramount we engage everyone in the community, and so it was fascinating to hear students at Manor Field Junior School outline their priorities.”
