Funding support is now available from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for businesses who were not eligible for other government funding during the latest round of COVID national restrictions.
Following further business support measures announced by the government and guidance on how to distribute this funding, the council has launched the Additional Restrictions Grant Scheme.

One-off grants will be available for businesses in the borough who have been severely impacted by the national restrictions but are not eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (closed businesses). These grants will cover the period between 5 November and 2 December 2020.
When applying, businesses must be able to demonstrate:
They were trading before 5 November 2020, when the national restrictions were introduced.
They have been forced to close or have been significantly impacted by the national restrictions between 5 November and 2 December.
The business is not in administration, insolvent or a striking-off notice has not been made.
Evidence of the business, such as liability insurance, bank statements, leases and other documents to show it has been operating.
It must be trading in Basingstoke and Deane.
The grant being applied for does not go over state aid limits.
Businesses that are eligible for a grant covering the same period of national restrictions, such as the National or Local Restrictions Support Grant, will not be eligible for this additional grant funding.
The application window for this funding is now open and will close at 5pm on Sunday 27 December. Grant payments for businesses awarded funding will be made in January 2021.

Further funding support will be available as part of the Local Restrictions Support Grants for businesses affected by restrictions from 2 December and for pubs who are unable to operate during the Christmas period as they do not serve food. More information on the funding will be available in January 2021.
